Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a Patient Advocate?

In the past few weeks our lives have dramatically changed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19). Our healthcare system is currently overwhelmed. A patient Advocate can help you or your loved ones sort out their options to get what they need from the Health Care System. It’s more important than ever to have a list of your medications, treating providers, advanced directives/ health care proxy readily accessible.

Although we aren’t able to meet with you face to face, we are still open for business and can conduct telephone/video consults to help you and your loved ones during this very challenging time.

Will my insurance pay for advocacy services?

While patient advocacy is not covered under health insurance plans, it’s certainly an investment worth considering ensuring you get the best possible treatment.

Do you provide medical services?

While my clinical knowledge and nursing experience provides an excellent knowledge base, patient advocacy isn’t a medical service and we do not provide hands on care.

If you need assistance in locating a home care agency, a specialist for a second opinion,  understanding your health insurance options, filing an appeal for denied services, negotiating a medical bill, understanding options for advance directives,  assistance with understanding Medicare options, or more information on alternative treatment options we can definitely assist you.
